Editing
I’ve chosen and line-edited work for a literary magazine and read submissions for a national journal, so I edit with the reader on the other side of the slush pile in mind. I work in Word with tracked changes, or in Google Docs.

Writing for hire
Twenty years in engineering and manufacturing taught me to write instructions that people actually follow. I write for clinicians, engineers, and general readers.

Tutoring and coaching
One-on-one sessions over video or in the Boston area. Good for college essays, graduate application statements, a thesis in progress, a poetry manuscript, or a writer who wants a deadline and a reader.

How a project works
- Send me a few pages and a sentence about what you want from them.
- I return a short sample edit and a fixed quote within two business days.
- You pay half to start and half on delivery.
- You get your edited file, a style sheet or editorial letter, and one follow-up call.
